Welcome to the Bathurst TAFE College Library's blog! This blog grew out of Peter Nakitch's involvement in the ANT2 Project in the second half of 2008, Peter was looking for effective (and novel) ways to reach out to the College's students and staff, particularly distance and flexible delivery students, and part-time teachers. After early reservations, Peter became interested in this format, as it was quick to implement and easy to manage. The blog has a few simple aims,
- To allow students and staff to access Bathurst library content anywhere and at anytime;
- To enable the library to advertise new and existing library resources, library facilities and library services;
- To enable students and staff to comment or otherwise provide feedback on individual items;
- Through a clean and uncluttered layout, and through the use of the blog's inbuilt features (e.g. searching, label use, etc.), allow students and staff to find and read material of interest; and,
- To reduce the load on the Insitute's email system.
