Library orientations and tours 2009

Part of our job is to assist students and staff in their use of the library space and its associated resources and facilities, to that end during the year we run regular library tours for students and staff. The tours can be one-to-one or for groups, and they can be basic through advanced, and be tailored to your special needs.Typically a basic tour lasts 15 minutes and consists of the following:
  • The library staff introduce themselves;
  • The rights and responsibilities of student (or staff) borrowers;
  • What you can borrow; how many items; how long you can borrow;
  • General library facilities (e.g study rooms, photocopier, printing, computers, the Internet);
  • Resources (book and non-book) related to your course(s) of study, or if staff, teaching area;
  • Specialised services available to students and staff (e.g. inter-library loans).
If you want to arrange a tour contact the library on 02 6338 2550 (if on campus, ext 82550) or email the library (bathurst.library@tafensw.edu.au).
