On 10 December, 2008 the first Families in Australia report was released by the Commonwealth Government through the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. The report is titled, Families in Australia 2008 and is available in multiple formats at the PMC website (http://www.pmc.gov.au/publications/families/).
